You can visit the region of cognac, or many local caves where the patron will sell his cognac and pineau at a very reasonable price.

This site is Very French, very rustic. The restaurant and bar are part of the restored stable block. The shop and kitchens are too. There is seating areas overlooking the pool from the restaurant/bar. The park has lovely green lush grass, which lead onto walkways and bridleways through the forest, where you may see a deer or two. This is a cyclists and walker’s paradise. The owners are really friendly and nothing is too much trouble they live on the site and are open all year.

The city of Niort is 45minutes away, with small local hamlets close-by that holds markets during the week.
